Abstract/Summary:
The Paper based on the prototype of two-phrase , rotary-valved pulse detonation engine, some experimental investigation about optimization of the structure of engine, the characteristic of atomization, combustion performance and co-ordination process was proceeded , the results were gained in the paper as follow:Accomplishing the design of structure, control system, test system, optimization of critical component of the RVPDE and also doing some debugging operation for these system, at the same time, experimental research about the inlet pressure loss was carried out, characteristic of loss in the different open-degree was achieved, in order to satisfy requirement of atomization, we used the spray nozzle of extra-acoustic wave. By experimentation, the best parameter of pressure of oil and air was confirmed. In order to improve the performance of RVPDE, Several kinds of obstacles including semi-v, swirl-mixer, evaporation-tube, to enhance the combustion performance were designed. Results from testing program demonstrate that effective reflection of the shock wave can shorten the time of transition, and multiple-cycle detonations with maximum frequency 25Hz.The preliminary investigation of the co-ordination process was completed, In order to comprehend the principle of co-ordination process and the study methods of it, a series of experiments and tests were carried out to achieve characteristic of co-ordination control by studying ignition, fuel injection and gas injection, finally getting the best state in the condition of experiment of RVPDE.Investigation and achievement above established the foundation for the future work, and provided the experience and method for Research and Development of RVPDE.
