Vibration fatigue failure on aero-engine's vane is a prevalent and serious problem. But the investigation on natural vibration characteristic of aero-engine's vane is the foundation for the study of reducing vibration and anti-fatigue. In order to make the computation results according to the real results, boundary conditions (BC) is very important for model in the process of natural vibration analysis. There is habitual parlance: the precision of computation is decided by the type of finite element cell, but whether or not the computation result is authentic is decided by the type of boundary conditions. This paper researches the natural vibration characteristics of six types of aero-engine's vane under complex boundary conditions. Some expressions of basic theory are deduced. Finite elements analysis results are computed by making use of MSC.Marc. Vibration modal experiments are done for two types of aero-engine's vane in order to validate the computation results. This paper establishes several boundary conditions models in order to fit the state of aero-engine's vane during finite element analysis. Some expressions of basic theory on vibration analysis of aero-engine's vane are deduced under fixed BC, flexible BC and contact BC. Six types of aero-engine's vane are simulated and the computation results of three aforementioned types of BC are gained. The computation results of different models are compared and some valuable conclusions are obtained. This paper uses the theory of design on parameters and the pcl programming language to develop the software platform which is used for the investigation on vibration characteristics of aero-engine's vane under complex boundaries by Visual C++ 6.0. The program module which runs the MSC.Marc background is formed. The capacity of each module is validated. Six types of aero-engine's vane are simulated by software platform, which shows the correctness and reliability of program module. This software platform offers valuable reference for the future series of aero-engine's vane vibration analysis. This paper does the vibration modal experiments by illustrating one swallowtail rabbet rotor vane and one hackle rabbet rotor vane. The experiments results between the computation results of fixed boundary condition and flexible boundary condition are compared. Some valuable conclusions are obtained.
