Start/generator double function system has become a tide of electric devices in advanced aircraft. Starter / generator double-function system will not only improves the electrical performance, but also improve the system stability. Rotating rectifier brushless synchronous motor is widely used in the Aircraft Power,due to adjustable power factor and high efficiency. To constitute the synchronous rectifier rotating motor starter/generator system, the excitation problem during start process should be solved. As the motor structure need not be changed, a single-phase AC excitation has been proposed.The single-phase AC excitation on rotating-rectifier Brushless synchronous generator is deeply researched in this paper. A ferromagnetic loss of excitation model is considered in single-phase AC excitation Simulation. To produce greater torque, the AC current source is introduced to make most use of the winding capacity. The three working pattern of he rotating-rectifier influence on the main generator excitation voltage. Simulation is employed to reveal the relationship of single-phase AC excitations and generator's excitation voltage, and reached the best single-phase AC excitation control law. For the start period of rotating-rectifier Brushless synchronous generator, fundamental principle and its control method is presented. The control law during the start is obtained as follows: 1). by controlling the phase angle to make the stator and the rotor magnetic maintain nearly orthogonal; 2).bring convertor into full play by increasing the working current via the improvement of the equivalent voltage. DTC control is a high-performance motor control technology, without position sensor. This paper presents a synchronous motor starting control using DTC principles and strategies.The control system is presented in this paper, the implantations involving hardware and software is introduced. A power transformation considering the rehabilitee of the system is designed to get power from the DC bus. The design steps detailed presented in this paper, which is verified by the experimental results.
