In the high-performance asynchronous motor vector control system, in order to overcome all sorts of shortcomings that the installation speed sensor brings in practical application and to expand the range of application of the vector control system further, researching on the technology of speed sensor-less vector control has important theoretical and actual meanings. In this paper, several different methods which are widely used to identify the rotor speed are compared and analyzed. According to the structure of vector control system which has speed sensor, a novel scheme of speed sensor-less field oriented vector control system based on MRAS (Model Reference Adaptive System) is proposed. This scheme adopts the technology of Space Voltage Pulse Width Modulation (SVPWM), Field Oriented Control (FOC) control algorithm and MRAS to estimate the rotor speed for vector control. Based on this, the model of speed sensor-less vector control system is built and simulated on MATLAB/SIMULINK software platform. The results of simulation demonstrate good performance and precision. The feasibility and practicability of the scheme is verified. In terms of the simulation module of this scheme, the design parameter and main circuit is presented, then the hardware of the controller is designed with the digital signal processor chip TMS320LF2407 of TI Company. The driving circuit and snubber circuit for protection are also introduced. At last, the flow of software realization of speed sensor-less vector control system is introduced in detail. The programs of each model is designed and debugged in CCS2.0.
