High speed recognition and differentiation system of coin, based on PC104 bus, recognizes and counts the coin passed rapidly, and rejects the bogus money or incomplete coin at the same time. It is the foundation of numerous researches and developments of dealing with utensil of coins, such as sorting machine, counting machine, packer, destroying machine of the coin, etc. At the same time, it is the update product of low-speed recognition and differentiation system of coin.This article first thinks of the significance of recognition and differentiation system of coin, according to various characteristic, size, material quality of my country's coin system, and demonstrats the method of detection and the scheme of this system, and deduces that the method of adopting eddy current sensor and detecting coins has its superiority, simultaneously also analyzes the feasibility of designing high-speed recognition and differentiation system of coin based on the PC104 bus. Afterwards, the paper separately elaborated the mainly design point of eddy current sensor with temperature compensation on the system, the design of signal alignment circuit, the choice and configuration of the PC104 module from the hardware angle, including the experimental data in the process of designing, the electric circuit simulation and the analytic result. The article has essentially expounded on the key content from the angle of the theory. On the part of software, in view of the mechanism of the realization of measurement and control software, the article introduces modular structure of the system software and elaborates with emphasis some concrete data structure and the algorithm realization in several forms, introduces the commonly usage of data acquisition card in the system, simultaneously.This system adopts the method of three channel (two various range of voltage parameters, a frequency parameter) to carry on the data acquisition and processing, and enhances the ratio of the recognition. The experiment data shows that, this system recognizes and differentiates our country's coin with the characteristics of high speed and reliability, has certain advancement in this application domain.
