The security of vehicle can be divided into active security and passive security. The active security developed gradually as the computer's technology advancing. At the first of this paper, we presented the ABS (the abbreviation of Anti-lock Braking System). Then we built the model of ABS by the software ADAMS and MATLAB together. Through the comparing of the simulated results of the ABS model and the test results on the road, the analyzing of the relation between the slip rate and the adhesion coefficient, the analyzing of the relation between the slip rate and the lateral force of the tire, we conclude that ABS enhanced the vehicle's stability in cornering braking at higher velocity. At last we introduced another control method for ABS called PID and simulated it to test its effectiveness to vehicle's stability.A new technique—Virtual Prototype Technology is being used more and more widely in the field of engineering. ADAMS is one of the most powerful mechanical system simulation software, particularly it supply the Car sub-module, it will be very convenience for users to study the kinetics of vehicle. Based on the theory and the algorithm of the ADAMS, the paper performed a combined simulation of ABS associated with the control software MATLAB.
