In recent years, China bridge design and construction achieved leapfrog development. The long-span and deep-water foundation bridge construction has become one of the world's most advanced. Construction technology of Bridge especially deep-water foundation bridge is complicated. Bridge workers in our country in bridge research, design, construction and other fields have scored many remarkable achievements. With deep-water foundation construction technology and machinery development, the structure of the cofferdam deep-water foundation construction has been widely used.Double-wall steel cofferdam is a common type of cofferdam in deep-water bridge foundation construction. Double-wall steel cofferdam has high stiffness and good overall for construction, and double-wall steel cofferdam can provide more space.Based on construction of No.3 pier of Huaihe River Bridge in He-Huai-Fu expressway, the paper discusses the design of steel cofferdam for construction and building the finite element model for analysis. According to the analysis, we develop secure construction rules to guide the implementation of construction. Result of evolving features of the quality of the project, pile and hydrological conditions (into the water depth is greater than 22m) and so on, with requirement of time and economy, the paper introduces details on the construction of cofferdam at the shore, building the platform for construction, lifting the cofferdam, Sub-section assembly of the cofferdam, overall downhill of the cofferdam, pouring platform after pumping and a series of construction process.The cofferdam taking a novel structure, the combination of single-wall and double-wall and saving construction costs and construction period, serve as guidance and reference for the design and construction of similar structures.
