The steel structure development grows day by day, but the poor fire-resistance ability is the main weakness of steel structure in that its mechanical property such as strength and elastic modulus decrease severely in high temperature. When the fire occurs, severe damage will happen to the steel structure. In China, test-based fire resistance design method is the prevailing fire resistance design method for steel structure. However, using the test-based fire resistance design method, it is hard to simulate the magnitude and distribution of loads and the end restriction conditions of the specimens in the structure.Based on the problems about the fire safety design of steel structure, this article analyzed the temperature distribution and the stress distribution as time change of a steel frame under the fire with ANSYS, carried on the certain analysis to the temperature and the stress distribution of the component in destructiontime, got some conclusions.
