With the development of the world automobile industry and the improvement of life level, more and more people expect that there are predominant performance and quality in automobile. Performance of automobile NVH (noise, vibration and harshness) became the important fact in measuring the performance of automobile and the expense of customer.The internal-combustion engine produces the strong noise at the time of the work, no mater which kind of occasion it applies, noise reduction is a very important problem. For long time, internal-combusion engine reseachers made a large amount of work in analyzing noise mechanism of internal-combustion engine, noise testing, noise identification and developing noise reduction product.In this paper, the model based on the theory of finite element and boundary element methods is found and finite-element analysis and syntonic-respond analysis for engine block are used for predicting the noise radiated from engine surface. With the noise testing for DA465 engine, this paper mainly studys the identification of the noise source and the measurement of radiated noise of internal-combustion engine.Analysis and research are provided in the mechanical noise which is produced at the time of the engine operation. The text begins with structure noise, wear noise, explode noise and then analysis and studys the piston strike noise, gear noise, induction system noise, bearing noise, shaft orientation noise, and some control methods for the five main noise and suggestions for improvement of production are provided. Finally, they are propitious to the upgrade of production performance.
