Metal-belt continuously variable transmission (metal-belt CVT) can continuously change the transmission ratio, take full advantage of engine's power. It can make engine match the load of roadway perfectly, and improve engine's motivity and economic indicator of fuel, so it is a perfect transmission. Because of its simple and small structure, excellent drivability, high transmission efficiency, it is very welcome. Many manufacturers are developing it in the world. Dong'an Corporation prepares to develop the metal-belt CVT. Therefore, some experimental investtigatio -ns of metal-belt CVT's electro-hydraulic control system are investigated in this paper. The details include:1) The development of metal-belt CVT is summarized;2) The structure, characteristics and working principle of metal-belt CVT are introduced;3) Metal-belt CVT's control system is pilot studied;4) Metal-belt CVT's electro-hydraulic control system is studied on the common transmission experiment equipment;5) The principles of shifting gear-ratio are studied on the vehicle's experiment equipment.
