The mechanical model of disc and blades system is very common in practical engineering fields. This paper mainly studies the coupling vibration problem of rigid body and elastic body which belongs to the vibration problems of steam turbine blades. The further research of this problem is very important for the practical engineering systems which are of this kind of mechanical model, and can be used to optimize the design of the practical problem and simulate the system, in order to guide design and manufacture.The paper uses Lagrange equation to establish the dynamic differential equation of the carrier and the carried, and then according to this, the kinetic equation of blades in variable rotation rate and the kinetic equation of blades considering that the leaf crown affects the blade are established separately. And these equations all contain time-variant gyro terms, time-variant stiffness matrix and time-variant load matrix. Through further analysis of the equations, the coupling relationship of rigid body and elastic body is disclosed. The paper mainly discusses the coupling problems of rigid body and elastic body in the vibration problems of rotating paddles under variable rotation rate. The discussing of this problem is significant in guiding the practical systems, which have this kind of mechanical model of disc and blades system.For the solving of the vibration differential equation of the elastic blade, this paper mainly adopts Newmark numerical integral method to simulate and visualize the data using the computer language Matlab.The analyzing method, the dynamic differential equations and the results in the paper will play a directive role in the design and manufacture of the practical engineering system with disc-blades mechanical model.
