The Research And Implementation Of Vehicle Navigation Terminal Base On Arcpad

Via the long time development and cultivation , the market of GPS vehicle location/navigation system of our country have entered scale develop period, and in April this year, Compass Navigation Satellite System of our country has projected the 4th satellite successfully , estimates to the end of 2008 to satisfy the demands of Chinese and periphery area' s user for satellite navigation system , and can organize system and experiment , then, step by step expands it to global satellite navigation system , and that must promote vehicle navigation field greatly.Just at this situation, this paper put forward a kind of practical and feasible vehicle navigation monitoring system' s scheme , and according to the property of navigation terminal designed and realized the vehicle navigation terminal based on ArcPad platform.At First, This paper intrduces the overall design of the GPS navigation monitoring system, and this system consists of two parts- monitoring center and vehicle navigation terminal. Monitoring center takes charge the monitoring and dispatching of vehicle, and vehicle navigation terminal takes charge the Real-time location/navigation and Planning route.the two parts communicate with each other by wireless communication network. And then, according to the environment and mobility of vehicle navigation terminal, processes the overall design of vehicle navigation terminal, and impements vehicle navigation terminal based on ArcPad in the light of this scheme. Impementing this system, analyses in detail the method of Developing ArcPad Exensions in WinCE based on eMbedded Visual C++, as well as customizes ArcPad by ArcPad Application Builder, and that accomplishes the function of map matching, planning route, Real-time navigation and so on.Via unceasing practice and improvement, this paper designs and realizes a vehicle navigation terminal that has practical effect , The system have reached for the functional requirement of vehicle's position and navigation, but since author'level is limited , This system still occurs many shortage, and needs to be improved futher.
