Many engineering properties of Yibin sand-pebble ground are excellent, such as high permeability and shear strength, good compactibility, etc. Along with the rapid development of national economy in Yibin, a lot of engineerings such as towers, bridges and highroads are constructed speedily. So the distortion and sedimentation must be controlled strictly. It is a very important task to evaluate the physical and mechanical properties and bearing capacity of sand-pebble ground scientifically, reasonably and economically.The Superheavy Dynamic Penetration Test (SDPT) technology is taken as the main research object in this paper. Associating the application of SDPT in Yibinsand-pebble ground, this paper emphasizes on the three parameters of SDPT-hammering numbers, penetrating resistance and penetrating depth. The relationships between the bearing capacity and deformation modulus of Yibin sand-pebble ground and these parameters are also researched. The main research work is as follows:1. The physical and mechanical properties of Yibin sand-pebble ground are researched by means of gathering engineering datum and conducting indoor and field test;2. On the base of researching the general mechanism, technical demand and engineering application of SDPT technology, the application features and parameters amendment of SDPT technology in Yibin sand-pebble ground are emphasized on;3. The calculation theory of penetrating resistance in SDPT has been researched, by borrowing ideas from dynamical test theory of foundation pile. The dynamical driving pile method and wave equation method are modified to analyze the penetrating process of SDPT and solve the penetrating resistance;4. The penetrating progress of SDPT has been simulated by means of Finite Element Method (FEM) and the relationship between the penetrating depth and the parameters of Yibin sand-pebble ground has been researched such as internal friction angle, density and deformation modulus, as well as the groundwater levels, associating an engineering example; 5. The relationships between the bearing capacity and deformation modulus of Yibin sand-pebble ground and the three SDPT parameters have been researched. Then the empirical calculation equations between the bearing capacity and deformation modulus of Yibin sand-pebble ground have been established. Finally, the applicability and reliability of the concluded calculation equations by engineering example are verified.
