The application of Integrated Full Electric Propulsion System on the ship not only makes significant exaltation of the energy exploitation efficiency, but also makes ship manipulation more vivid. The electric propulsion with more advantage has been a general tendency. The researches abroad are very mature already, but the local researches are still in a beginning stage. The core of Integrated Full Electric Propulsion System is the electric propulsion. And the key of the electric propulsion is the propulsive motor and its control. So it is important to research the motor and its control. Six Phase Electrically Excited Synchronous Motor that is the topic of the paper, not only is used for propulsive motor, but also is the core of Integrated Full Electric Propulsion System. the mathematical model based on dq-coordinate of Six Phase Electrically Excited Synchronous Motor is set up. The author make the simulation of Six Phase Synchronous Motor under MATLAB/Simulink environment.Concretely speaking, the paper firstly introduces the domestic and international condition of Integrated Full Electric Propulsion System, and presents the research present condition of Six Phase Double Y-Coil Salient Pole Synchronous Motor and its Vector Control; Secondly, It is validated that the simulation of Six Phase Synchronous Motor, the mathematical model of which is set up according to the method of the vector control, is run under MATLAB/Simulink environment. Finally, combining with the mathematical model of transducer and propeller, the simulation of Six Phase Synchronous Motor applied to Electric Propulsion System is run.The result of the system simulation proves the validity of the mathematical model based on Vector Control of Six Phase Double Electrically Excited Synchronous Motor and the applicability of Six Phase Electrically Excited Synchronous Motor applied to electric propulsion.The author analyses the theories research of Integrated Full Electric Propulsion System in china, and introduces the condition of the product applied to ship according to the circumstance of the relevant data and the investigation. Finally, the author conceives a later work direction.
