It was more than 100 years that diesel engine's technology has comprehensive developed from its work principle appearing to now. It is widely applied to many kinds of mechanism because of its good power, the efficiency and the reliability , especially as the vehicle power. However, the particulate as one of the mainly diesel engine exhaust components, because it is harm to the human health, which has aroused the various countries government's attention which formulated the strict diesel engine/vehicle emission regulations. How to reduce the emission of particle of the diesel engine, it is a problem urgently to be solved at present. Diesel exhaust after treatment technology aimed at particulate and nitrogen oxides. People have already concentrated sight on back treatment technology of the particle mainly, people in this area hope to make some breakthroughs.This goal in research and content of stationery body include:(1)Recommend the current situation of domestic and international diesel vehicle and tail gas to discharge the characteristic, summarize the standard of controlling of the exhaust of diesel engine.(2) Introduced to particulate filter which is used to reduce the emissions of particulate. Have studied the particle purification mechanism, demand and structure form of the filter material, and current situation of the development of filtering material. Select the foam filter as the research object of filter material finally.(3)Permeability and inertia coefficient of the porous media material are the important parameter, which decide the fluid flow characteristic property in the porous media. This text calculates ceramic permeability and inertia coefficient porously through the experiment method. Set up porous medium coupling area compressible gas flow the mathematics model of the characteristic, recommend asking the method of solving of important parameter of porous pottery, set up the experiment platform, determine the experimental data, deal with and analyze the experimental result, receive rational permeability and inertia coefficient number to the experimental result.(4)Build the model with GAMBIT at first. Experimental model were simulated combining the density of soot particulate in diesel engine exhaust. Choose the suitable calculation model of turbulent two-phase flowing using FLUENT software, and have numerical simulation on the gas-solid two-phase turbulent flow, in order to reveal the particulate traces moving in the pipe, and the changes of particulate velocity and pressure along the axis in the pipe. Different thickness of ceramics we get different simulation results of particulate traces moving in the pipe under changing the ceramic parameter and the entering particulate diameter.Simulate the process of diesel engine emission through the emission process of swirling pumps. Experimental study on the flowing performance of the air passing the porous media material, that is permeability and inertial coefficient. This paper also validate the measuring results , the simulation coincide with the experiment result. Using FLUENT simulation software set up physical model according to parameter to choose the suitable model of turbulent two-phase flowing .and get the Numerical Simulation on the gas-solid two-phase turbulent flow.
