We are now in a great new era of information as the economy grows and as the scientific level rises. How to effectively use so miscellaneous and enormous data is a hot spot in a broad field of study. As is well known, in our country today, construction of infrastructural facilities is in a period of rapid development and urban planning, skyscrapers and hydraulic engineering construction need a great deal of information of geotechnical engineering. On the one hand, we have accumulated a huge mass of data of geotechnical engineering in construction which can be taken as experience to conducting designing and construction so as to increase efficiency. But more and more data and materials of geotechnical engineering couldn't be managed by manual labor, also it couldn't reflect the value of geology archives. So these engineering data being important resource for geotechnical engineering is pressing for development and using. On the other hand, planning and programming of project construction depends too much on design blueprints and its design outcome in the form of plans and cutaway diagrams which isn't visualized and can't be controlled and managed by architects as whole. For these reasons Intelligent Management Information System based on information from geotechnical investigation and surveying that can provide management, analysis, evaluation and decision-making has a good prospect of application. The thesis first of all has classified the data of geotechnical engineering from the actual geological conditions and established a database filled with tables corresponding to the data, which can storing, maintain and retrieving data. Secondly based on the information of surveying it has offered design criterion and detection regulation. Thirdly it established a pile-designing subsystem based on SuperMap Objects controls, which can edit and query piles. And then it has analyzed the advantages and disadvantages of several spatial data models and used an interpolation polynomial operation to generate multi-storied DEM surfaces, and also has removed some cross stratigraphic surfaces. After all, we have obtained lengths of piles in each soil layers on the basis of the 3D strata model, so that we can optimize the design of piles.
