The spatial analysis in military transportation has been an array of technologies aim at services for the army, which can effectively obtain, depict and cognize the transportation geographic information, as well as analyze , forecast and manage all sorts of events that take place in the process of transportation. The spatial analyses in military transportation are important measures in studying and analyzing military geographic features, military hinges and military transportation network., it is of great importance when taking into account the improvement of military transportation, the functional elevation of military transportation during wartime, and guarantee the rationality of military transportation.This paper expatiates the concept of military transportation and defines the important significance of spatial analysis in military transportation. It analyzes the applicative value and vastitude future of applying the GIS technologies to spatial analysis in military transportation after summarizing the correlative researches and developments both home and abroad. The paper concludes the content of spatial analysis in military transportation based on GIS, analyzes the advantages and shortages of employing the component GIS product SuperMap Objects 3.0 in spatial analysis in military transportation, and puts forward the idea of encapsulating the transportation analysis arithmetic into transportation analysis component with COM technology, it also concretely realizes and validates every function of transportation analysis component, this component fetches up the network analyzing capacity of basic GIS component ,as well as enlarges the probability of repeated use of the arithmetic.
