With the rapid development of urban economy, the requirements on the quality of electric energy are steadily growing up. Distribution systems, which are the ends of power system link power system and consumers together. The reliability of distribution system directly influences the quality of electric energy. Therefore, reliability evaluating on distribution system and reconstructing distribution network based on the reliability evaluation are of great significance theoretically and practically.Based on the previous research works, this dissertation reviewed reliability analysis methods of distribution system. Aiming at the characteristic of distribution system with complex sub-feeders in XianTao HuBei province, the dissertation firstly calculated primary components reliability and then made comprehensive reliability evaluation on the whole distribution system by combining network equivalent method and minimum path method. Moreover, the reliability prediction on the reconstruction project propose by the electric power department was presented. At last, considering about the relation between improving system reliability and winning more benefits, the dissertation also made a simple analysis by using cost and benefit.
