The fault diagnosis technology, as well as its application in missile control system, is analysed. Fault diagnosis methods based on structure knowledge, test flow knowledge and field expert knowledge are presented. The knowledge expression, the diagnosis methods and the diagnosis system development are researched.In this paper, the structure of the missile control system and its test flow is analysed and abstracted. The knowledge expression for the fault diagnosis of the missile control system is researched. A knowledge expression system is brought forward, which includes structure knowledge as base, test flow knowledge as main line and field expert knowledge as assistant. Under the knowledge expression system, the research of fault diagnosis methods based on structure knowledge, test flow knowledge and field expert knowledge is carried out. Examples of applications and diagnosis conclusions of the methods are given. The paper studys structure knowledge producing in graphics mode based on structure knowledge expression. A structure knowledge producing environment is developed. At last, a practical application of the knowledge expression system and the fault diagnosis methods in one type of missile control system is presented.
