When material partial energy drastically release, it has AcousticEmission (AE) signal production, AE signal contains importantcharacteristic information of the related AE source. Production anddevelopment of material flaws can be monitored dynamically throughcollecting and analyzing AE signal. The AE examination technology has thesignificant realistic value in equipment status monitoring and warning.But, as a result of complexity of AE signal, it is very difficult to analyzecollect and extract AE source characteristic parameter. So the AE signalprocessing technology research is key question in AE technologyfundamental research and project application.In order to obtain accurate information of AE source an effectivemeans must be adapted to analysis AE signal. Wavelet analysis is such toolto obtain signal's detail characteristics both in time and frequency.Coefficients can be obtained through self-adapting decomposing of AEsignals in wavelet multilevel analysis, the frequency, time, energy andother information of AE signal can be observed directly from coefficientsenergy image in phase plane. Meanwhile, it also provides a theoreticalbasis for wavelet AE signal reconstruction. On the Basis of this theory, thereconstructed AE signal which has been excluded most interference of othersignal and shown AE source information much clearly. This method wouldbe more significant for AE sources analysis.The article summarizcd the domestic and foreign AE tcchnologydevelopment and the present AE processing tcchnology, the wavelet analysis and phase-plane theory were carried on analyzing, processing andreconstructing the metal material AE signal, furthermore, somecharacteristic parameters of the AE signal were extracted.In order to realize the dynamic monitoring of equipment runningstatus, the article studied and developed a DSP system based on the abovetheory, its control and process core taken by TMS320C6713 DSP, thesoftware system was constituted by the modules of wavelet decomposing,wavelet reconstruction and AE characteristic parameter extracting, thissystem complied with the designed system of high speed USB collectinghave composed a integrity AE signal processing system.We use formidable MATLAB software in the DSP development as anassistance design tool and CCS as an achievement platform to guaranteethe development efficiency and the algorithm accuracy.This article was part work of the project 'Research on the CrackMonitor Theory and Method of Runner Blade of Francis Turbine(50465002)' which was supported by the State Natural Science Fund...
