The steel box-girder has many advantages such as strong torsional stiffness, high intensity, light deadweight, prefabricate and machining conveniently , short construction period, good integrity, small building height good integrity, succinct and beautiful appearance. With the development of the transportation, steel box-girders are widely used in bridge construction.Under the action of load, the box-girder bridge may present the phenomenon of shear lag. Overlooking this problem in designing would have serious influence on the safety of bridge. solution methods of shear lag effect of straight concrete box-girder are mentioned in specifications of many countries now, but the researches of shear lag effect of wide flange plate steel box-girder is absent, especially the curved steel box-girder. Because of its complex structure, shear lag effect is influenced by radius of curvature, and it is not mentioned in specifications of every country. Our country's current code for design of highway bridge and culvert prescribe the effective width of flange plate of concrete box-girder which of curved steel box-girder is not mentioned. So the research of shear lag effect of curved steel box-girder is of vital significance.On the basis of lucubrating of existing problem of present research, this paper used large general finite element programme ANSYS, take a three-span continuous curved steel box-girder as a subject, create its finite element model, ansysed the influences of structure parameter to shear lag effect, such as radius of curvature,width-to-span ratio,mode of load,section height,slant of web plate,length of section cantilever part,number of compartments of a box,diaphragms' distance,ratio of side span and middle span. Obtained some regular patterns and conclusions of shear lag effect of continuous curved steel box-girders. Applicable calculation tables of a three-span continuous curved steel box-girder were made, which is used for reference in designing.
