To meet the tendency to wide use and development of the nature gas in the 21 th century, the gas-fired absorption air-conditioning will be used widely. Gas-fired absorption air-conditioning shows the unique predominance in reducing the polluted gas exhausting, relaxing the power stress and adjusting the high load of power and natural gas supplement. So the gas-fired absorption air-conditioning will play a promotive role in traditional compress refrigeration system.Based on the analysis method of the thermodynamics, the thermal cycle process of Absorption air-conditioning system is analyzed and researched deeply to find the link of the energy transformation process in the system. The direction of the thermo-economic optimization and the design of the system can be pointed out according to this result.After comprehensive analysis, we can conclude that the Absorber irreversibility makes up the large proportion of input exergy, and absorber plays a very important role in gas-fired absorption air-conditioning system and any other absorption systems. Therefore, we studied the absorber systematically. Absorber has the complicate dual-solution two-phase flow heat and mass transfer. In the research processs, we firstly compared with various absorbers available. Then the physical model and mathematical model of vertical tubes absorbers are set up. The heat and mass coupling principle is opened up by the computer analysis on the absorption in vertical tubes absorbers. Finally, we summarized the factors affecting heat and mass transfer by the analysis of the results.Air cooled absorber is simple, low-cost and small water consumption, and is in small size, etc. So we discuss the Air cooled mode. Contrast to water cooled absorber, Air cooled absorber is low effective. After the heat and mass transfer analysis, we use the commercial CFD software Fluent to study the infection of air cooled absorber structure. The paper gives a new way for the absorber design based on the research findings too.
