Numerical Simulation For Solar Chimney And Investigation Of Natural Ventilation Solution Multiplicity

Natural ventilation, as an antiquated ventilation method, was usedmany years ago. With the developing of air-conditioning, naturalventilation had ever been neglected for many years. But recently, with theenergy crisis and the improved indoor air quality for the people, thenatural ventilation has been attracted more and more interests from theinvestigators and the building designers. The natural ventilation not onlysaves the building energy consumption but also provides the fresh air forimproving indoor air quality and meeting the requirement of acceptableindoor air quality. In recent years, with the clean energy, such as the solarenergy, is used widely, the natural ventilation of solar energy combined tothe building was referred frequently. The solar chimney was alsoconcerned by many investigators. But the natural ventilation has the sideof complex, such as the multiple solutions and the phenomenon of thenonlinear dynamic. So, according to the investigation of natural ventilation,we can control it effectively.Firstly, the background of natural ventilation was presented. Theintroduction of natural ventilation and the method of natural ventilationwere shown. The investigation and the application of natural ventilation athome and abroad, the significance and the content of this issue wereshown then.In the part 2, the numerical simulation of Trombe-solar chimney wasshown. By the non-dimensional airflow rate, the relation of twoparameters (the width d and the height (H-L)) for the solar chimney designwas received. The reason was attained from the streamline. Finally,contrast to the previous results being scattered, we concluded the designformulations for the solar chimney in this natural ventilation model, whichare helpful for the design of solar chimney.In the part 3, the natural ventilation of two-zone with heat and coolsource was investigated. By setting up the sets of equations for differentmodes, the solutions were attained by mathematics method, the solutionspresent the multiple solutions of natural ventilation. The results werehelpful for the controlling the natural ventilation in this model. Lastly, we concluded the results of this issue and the furtherinvestigation target, which is helpful for the further investigation direction.
