Electric quantity test of generator is absolutely necessarily in delivery test. In Chongqing electric machine federation LTD, the simulation meter is used to carry out Electric quantity test of generator. It needs many measure instruments and missionary's cooperation, and the total harmonics distortion (THD) and sequence components can't be measured. It is ordered in IEC that the difference between terminal voltage and fundamental wave can't bigger than 5 percent amplitude of fundamental wave, and there is strict standard about the symmetry of terminal voltage. So, it is important to test THD and sequence components. This dissertation adopts digital signal controller (DSC), which integrates the advantages of both MCU and DSP and has been put out newly by Microchip Technology Inc. This scheme utilizes the strong data processing capability of DSC to introduce harmonic and sequence components analysis into the design of electric quantity test of generator.The generator test equipment introduced in this dissertation is based on Digital Signal Controller dsPIC30F6014. The processing of the software aims at analog data acquisition, LCD display and CAN communication. Fast Fourier Transform Algorithm (FFT) is the core of software. The dissertation modifies and improves on FFT arithmetic, which provided by Microchip. The dissertation improves the nicety and precision of FFT and passes experiment validation. There are three different generators, which have different frequency: 50Hz, 60Hz and 200Hz in Chongqing electric machine federation LTD. The test equipment can track frequency, and improves precision of FFT and has definite currency. In the process of progranma, it needs to pay attention to the address distribution of input and output complex vectors especially.There are many values shuould be achieved in the process of test, for example, it needs acquire a few of group values of electric quantity at different time when load test is carrying through. In order to solve the fussy problem of note values in the process of test, the test equipment and PC is made up of a function cell of generator test plat for achieving delivery test such as load test. The software in PC is compiled by Delphi. PC can control test equipment run and communicate, save the test data in database, and display some test values, harmonics and waves of input signals. The user can transfer data in database to protract performance curve such as load curve.The data of the experiment about hardware, software and expriment plat is analysed. The result indicates the generator test equipment can carry out the function of test successfully for differen frequency generators and has a certain extent meanings in reseach about performance of generator. The information includes three-phase AV voltage, current, active power, power factor, total harmonic distortion, sequence components and harmonics. The test equipment can be used in delivery test and real time test of the generator, and also can be connected with PC to structure a test system.
