Electro-hydraulic proportional control system for two dimensional motion applies proportional servo-valve to control asymmetrical hydraulic cylinder actuator. The paper establishes the mathematical model to asymmetrical actuator on the base of considering proportional serve-valve characteristic, then analyses the modeling to proportional servo-valve, and finally sets up valve-control system model for asymmetrical hydraulic cylinder position. After all models are founded, the two-dimension motion mechanism is simulated and studied experimentally based on control algorithms of PID, Fuzzy and Fuzzy-PID respectively and general control structures of'mean-value type'and'master-slaver type'respectively. The simulations are finished by applying the software of Matlab/Simulink. Program for control system and the control algorithms is written by the author using computer language of VC++. Furthermore,accuracy and validity of theoretical analysis are proved though results of experimental study . To sum up, the author obtains some main conclusions:1. The electro-hydraulic proportional experimental apparatus for two-dimensional motion can test validity of the simulation and veracity of the theory, so it can be used as a test platform for study of pertinent proportional servo technology.2. From the aspect of the general control structures of'mean-value type'and'master-slaver type', the simulation result gotten from applying'mean value type'control structure is better. So the'mean value'control structure is strongly recommended for practical application.3. Test data indicates that the control algorithms of PID, Fuzzy and Fuzzy-PID can basically meet the demand of control. However, from the point of control effect, Fuzzy-PID controller is the best, then Fuzzy controller, and then PID controller.In a word, the paper provides theoretical support for application of electro-hydraulic proportional control system for two-dimension motion...
