The Research Of Extending The Garden Space

Unlimited landscape can be created on limited land. With the development of our modern society, the land used for landscape is degreed, and our environments get worse. How can we create a multi-dimensional and ecological landscape on limited land, and how can we make a sustainable development of our urban landscape. It is time for the Landscape Architect to solve these problems now.Basing on the reasons above, this paper will discuss the ways of extending the garden space, and search for the new land that can be used for landscape. Wish it can help us to solve the contradiction between human and land use, urban construction and deterioration of eco-environmental, limited land and unlimited landscape. And last, wish it can promote the harmonizing with nature, building the multi-dimensional landscape and sustainable development of our country now.The thesis will be dissected in three parts: fist part makes a systematical retrospect of garden space; and the second part the author will discuss the ways of extending garden space that used in traditional gardens; the third part will consider the trend and requirement of modern landscape development and make a research of the modern ways of extending garden space.Based on the three parts above, the thesis results about the ways of extending garden space may be summarized as followings:(1) Creating unlimited landscape by using the penetration of spaces.(2) Building a small garden but shows a big picture by the methods of comparison.(3) Creating an unlimited spirit space by building the"spirited situation".(4) Extending the garden space by searching for new land.(5) Making a multi-dimensional landscape by using modern technology.(6) Extending the garden space by using the intuition of colors and texture in vision.
