With the development of construction of economy, the speed of highway construction is higher and higher, so a lot of oblique slab bridges are appearing, but the theory of oblique slab bridges is not mature. In this condition, the behavior of oblique slab bridges is studied in this paper. At first, the essential characteristics of oblique slab bridges and the research actuality for skew bridges of domestic and foreign are pointed out, then the analysis calculation of oblique slab bridges is made, and the differences between monolithic and assembled oblique slab bridges are analyzed. The models of the simple supported inclined plate bridges are carried out by MIDAS/CIVIL6.7.1 which is a software of civil computation. In order to validate the digital models, a group of polymethyl methacrylate slab bridges models are produced and tested. For the first, the elastic modulus and Poisson's ratio of the material are detected; when the polymethyl methacrylate slab bridges models are with equally distributed load, strain of every measuring point is gotten. A comparison between the experimental results and computational ones is given. After validating the digital models, the digital models are loaded and analyzed. the impact of skew angle on transverse and vertical load distribution factors of the simple supported inclined plate bridges, and the impact of bridge length on transverse load distribution factors are analyzed. At last, the impact of skew angle on the simple supported inclined plate bridges with lane loading is analyzed, and impact suggestion formula is given.
