Arising pressure to the fluid, high-pressure Centrifugal Compressor plays akey role in all areas of the national economy. Whether its sealed well or not willhave a direct influence on its own quality. Moreover, it could affect theproductivity of the entire factory. Therefore, it is essential to study and choosethe right way to seal and it has a real economic value. Dry Seal is a new kind ofnon-contact seals and it can separate the gas or liquid media in a rotatingmachine. Compared with other methods, dry seal performs better in many ways:little leakage, wear less, long life, low energy consumption, simple to use andreliable, low maintenance, sealing fluid apart from the oil pollution. Because ofits reliability and good value to the economy, dry seal has been approved as abetter way in many fields.This thesis is subject to a study of BCL-406/Acentrifugal compressor shaftdry seal systems. Contents are as below:First of all, it will study the basic knowledge such as the concept of a sealedsystem, and the current classification and the trend of the future development. Adetailed analysis of dry seal system will be undertaken to find out the mainfactors that may influent its performance.The article emphasizes the interior design of the dry seal system. Accordingto the needs we choose the seal form of two series, and choice of T-ring grooveafter calculation. This will not only reduce fuel consumption, but also to reducethe potential pollution caused by sealed oil. To the choice of labyrinth, we choosebevel through the maze-sealed and verified it is a reasonable way by calculating.It is been determined that to select chloroprene rubber for O-shaped ring,expanded graphite for inactive ring, WC materials for active ring and finally usesteel for labyrinth seal.That BCL-406/A against type centrifugal compressor dry seal system is designed to meet the practical requirements, the amount of disclose is under theregulation. Boards chosen are reasonable, maze design is appropriate. Theidentification of dry seal, the choice of parameters, the design of key componentsand the corresponding accuracy, effectively lowers the need of maintenance forcompressor seal system, as well as extends the maintaining cycle.
