The Research On Old Cement Concrete Pavement Evaluation And Treatment Technology

Based on the comprehensive evaluation and the investigation of treatment-methods of the old cement concrete pavement, and through the introduction of the content of the comprehensive evaluation, a comprehensive evaluation of cement concrete pavement suited to the old pavement was made by site investigation and data processing. Based on this, treatment-methods for the old cement concrete pavement in different conditions, different situations and different environment were researched, and in combination with some examples of State Road 325, the feasibility and superiority of the old cement concrete pavement comprehensive evaluation and treatment-methods was checked.Conducting comprehensive investigation, test, evaluation of the old concrete pavement plays an important role in getting comprehensive and in-depth understanding of damaged condition, void, strength of structural layers, thickness of structural layers, subgrade, the overall carrying capacity of pavement structure of the old cement concrete pavement; according to the comprehensive evaluation, program of pavement rehabilitation can be suggested.Old Cement Concrete Pavement treatment-methods can be classified into three categories: (1) remove and resurfacing; (2) (large slab) overlay directly; (3) the impact compaction. There are some differences in characteristics, and each has its advantages and disadvantages. In practical projects, the application of the approach should take their engineering characteristics into consideration.According to the content of survey and the results of evaluation of Heshan Road 325 Old Cement Concrete Pavement, in combination with the actual local situation and taking into account the process of transformation of road traffic, cracking and seating the concrete slab was adopted to firm the old cement concrete pavement, the result of quality control of the impact indicates that, this method has got good result.
