There are so many dissdvantage factors for the existing-buildings asdesign defects inborn(nuder-estimate of the wind load,unreasonablewind-resistance conformation of structure),structure ageing andunreasongble maintenance periods.And allof above will causewind-resistance defects and further affects structural safety.In according with the appraisal of wind-resisance,this paper finds outwind-resistancedefects of the existing-buildings from the following twoaspects:structure wind-resistance calculation and wind-resistanceconformations.fuethermore,relevant strengthening methods,such saenlaring transverse section,external steel frame,pre-stressed,changing thestructure system,external adhere steel plate,external adhere fiberreinforce plate(FRP),cement grouting or spouting fixing etc.arerecommended to strengthen them between the structure members and theconnection joints.this paper studies the experimental method of windtunnel,caculatipn of wing-resistance and strengthening design for theexisting buildings structure based on the wind-resistance strengthening ofsome sculpture,then the writer gives the normal procedures ofwine-resistance appraisal and strengthening obtained from this paper.
