In recently years, Energy shortage is the significant problem for all the countries of the world, the exploitation of petroleum resource in our country is continuously decreased. Along with the quick development of railway and motor transportation, the demand for petroleum increases obviously, thus the petroleum which our country has to import has increased at 8%-9% every year, The import of petroleum breaks through 120 million tons in 2004; besides, the quality of the oil field in our country has been continuously lower because of overexploitation, the cetane decreases and the impurity increases in the supplied petroleum. Facing the urgent situation of petroleum resource, the major content of the thesis is to study how to make the diesel locomotive use inferior diesel oil instead of low-quality diesel oil and the inferior fuel which locomotive diesel engine burns.Firstly, this thesis introduces the development of domestic and international diesel locomotive and fuel condition of locomotive diesel engine, the thesis argues feasibility demonstration of using inferior diesel oil in locomotive diesel oil in view of the pressing situation of petroleum resource in our country and the characteristic of crude oil, and states the economic meaning and social meaning. Secondly, the article introduces the fuel providing system for the diesel engine of diesel locomotive and discusses the influence of fuel systematic parameters for using inferior diesel oil, and argues the influence of fuel viscosity for spraying performance. Thirdly, this article introduces GT-FUEL software, and builds model of 16V240 diesel engine system with this software, respectively simulative calculates with low-quality and inferior diesel oil on model, the simulative results, Through comparing with the test results which is made make on testing stand of oil pump, it is proved the consistenly. Fouthly, this articled discusses the stagnant.burn.period of inferior diesel oil. Under limited test conditions, use of GT-POWER this article foreasts the emission problem of inferior diesel oil in combustion stage. Through using low-quality fuel and inferior diesel oil on the model respectively.
