The definition and the influencing factors of the structural influencing coefficient(behavior factors) are introduced in this paper, as well as the research state at home and abroad. The provisions on response modification factors in US seismic code(UBC1997), Eurcode 8, Japanese Building Standard Law, Mexico seismic code, Canada seismic code and Chinese seismic codes are summarized and some important remarks on the application of response modification factors in seismic codes are presented.The influencing coefficient for previous Chinese aseismic design code was reviewed, and the difference on the research between the domestic and the foreign is pointed out. The force based seismic design method is adopted by most of the seismic codes in the world. The Structural Influencing Coefficientare not only the key factors for determining seismic action in force-based seismic design, but also the key parameters to derivate the inelastic response spectram in performance-based seismic design.The structural influencing coefficientare is very important in aseismic design for steel structures. How to ascertain a reasonable structural influencing coefficient is important to aseismic design. The main works by this paper are as followings:In allusion to the concentrically braced frame, we make use of the STS program to design structure, after pushover analyzing with the program of SAP2000, through iteration and finally solve the structural influencing coefficientare, displacement coefficient, ductility coefficient and overstrength coefficient, then analyze the homologous variety regulation. This paper has analyzed 18 examples under the present seismic fortification criterions, considering the influence include the layer numbers, spans, and the number of span.Finally I expect that this paper's achievement should supply some references for the structural influencing coefficient.
