Two kinds of pinned-connected column-bases which have two or four anchor bolts symmetrically distributed in inside of flanges are recommended by Technology Code of Light Steel Structure of Portal Frame (CECS 102: 2002), it has been proved that the two kinds of column bases actually have remarkable capacity of rotational restrict according to the deduction of theory and experiments. When the effective length is calculated, according to Technology Code, the effective length factorμis multiplied by the correction coefficient 0.85 which is used to reflect the influence of the rotational restrict of column base. However, the research proves that this may underrate the restriction capacity of the kind of rotational restrict.The paper established the plate column-base connection models with the finite element software of ANSYS and verified that model calculating accuracy with the result of experiment. On the foundation, two kinds of column base connection models were established, and correlative parameter as to it's the influence degree of the function is got. The paper analyzed the ability of shear resistance and generated a formula of elastic rigidity. Then the calculation result of column-bases with four anchor bolts is introduced to the finite element of steel structure of portal frame. After that, it is compared with the results of non-restrict column-bases and the homologous advices for design are given.
