Pushover analysis is gradually deemed to an important tool for the performance based seismic design and is widely used in earthquake engineering, because it is simple and practical, which also can get the strength and deformation when the structure is in nonlinear state, and find out the weakness of the structure and so on.In this thesis, Pushover analysis is conducted with two finite element software (ANSYS,MIDAS) to get different earthquake response of tube structure under different axial-load ratio. Those results are compared with predecessor's research data.First, this paper engages in the analysis on the recent researches in the Pushover analysis.Secondly, one concrete core wall model is created and loaded to failure in ANSYS under the combined action of different axial load and lateral load to analyze the failure pattern of walls and wall beams of tube structure, at the same time, the difference of ductility and capacity is compared to analysis the cause.Thirdly, in order to study on the mechanical characteristic of reinforcedconcrete core wall, Pushover analysis of a reinforced concrete core wall is conducted with MIDAS. Meanwhile, one frame-tube structure is created to make the Pushover analysis to study the mechanical characteristic and the capacity of frame-tube structure under different axial-ratio.Finally, a comparison is made based on the experience data got by Doctor Jun-lan Li and ANSYS and MIDAS computation results to analyze the mechanical characteristic.All the results are anastomotic.
