The grounding system is [0]one of the most important measures for the safety and stability in the electric power system. As a significant part of the system, we have to know how the operation of the system affected by the earth connection, and whether operators will be hazarded by it. Thus, it is necessary to study the telluric electricity field which is near to the different ground installation.Firstly, classical electromagnetic-field analytical method has been used to deduce the formula of potential distribution that is near some simple shape ground installations in this paper. After that, you can learn how to use the finite-element method to analysis the telluric electricity field which is near to the complex shape ground installations by two-dimension triangle planar subdivision. Then, you can also learn how to use ANSYS soft to calculate potential. By analysis the result, we know that the potential distribution near the installations altered obviously which have different numerical radiate poles. We can also know that the area of equivalent surface increased obviously. The numerical radiate poles can also alter the electric field in the earth. An area of low electric-field intensity appeared near the grounding pole. So increasing the numerical of radiate poles can ameliorate the telluric electricity field because of the electric field distortion. In addition, this thesis also has studied the grounding grid's fault diagnosis of the power plants and substations. The theory of the electric network is applied to establish the diagnosis equations. Readers will know how to use technique of optimization to solve the diagnosis equations. Therefore it can effectively resolve the problem of morbid equation by introducing the lowest energy theory. Meanwhile by use of the analysis of experiments, it proved that the theory was correct, feasible and practical.
