A Study Of Project Management Performance Evaluation On Residential Construction

Nowadays, with the rapid development of China's construction and real estate industry, with the great increase of construction enterprises, with the fierce competition among the building industry, scientific and standardized project management has become a core and essential means for construction enterprises to improve their competitiveness in market. It is of great significance to evaluate the project management performance objectively, comprehensively, efficiently and accurately, to assess the strength of the technological management, business administration and their contributions towards the economy as a whole, and to improve the management of residential construction projects. At the present, many academic researches are conducted about the enterprise performance evaluation, while the subject about the management performance evaluation of the residential construction project is rarely studied; therefore there is a lack of theories when management performance evaluation about the residential construction is conducted and it is difficult for managers to give correct evaluation as well, which may bring economic losses to the enterprises.The thesis is based on the study of the management performance evaluation of residential construction projects in China. After a summarization of theories and researches of project management as well as performance evaluation, through an analysis of China's management performance evaluation of the residential construction project, it is suggested that the appraisal target system of China's management performance evaluation on construction projects should be established based on aspects of economy, quality, effectiveness, safety and other evaluation; it is advised that scientific and objective evaluation of China's management performance on the residential construction could be done by means of analytic hierarchy process and fuzzy comprehensive assessment. At last, the scentificness and accuracy of China's management performance evaluation of construction project has been proved through an empirical analysis. The author hopes that this thesis could be useful for the theories and empirical analysis of China's residential construction project management performance evaluation and could be helpful in decision-making for China's macro decision-making department, supplying better statistics and service for the management of the construction project to upgrade the overall quality level.
