The operation of 200km/h High Speed EMU is the most prominent highlight in the sixth speed up of Chinese railways.Its huge influence makes the security after the railway speed increase become the social widespread focus. The intention of the localization of EMU which is imported from France and Japan is to let them fit for the operation condition in China,which includes the railway operation level,the railway line condition and the request of it's bearing capacity.Based on this background,this article evaluates the fatigue and yield strength of the bogie frame by using specification,including UIC615-4 and JIS E 4207.By calculating through the software,such as Ansys,the results can be got that the strength of the bogie frame meets the design requirement.Meanwhile,in order to give the suggestion and supposion to the specification which adapts to the situation in our country,it conducts a comparison of these two standards on application scope,classification of load condition,the evaluation of fatigue and yield strength,assessment method of the welding zone.The results of the comparation indicate that the value of load is almost the same,though it has the different load conditions.UIC and JIS have their own evaluation theory,but they are different from each other.For example,JIS uses the mean square root to calculate the stress amplitude and it is much more scientific in the assessment method of welding zone than UIC.Therefore,it is considered that in the evaluation, methods of determining fatigue Load in UIC and methods of evaluation in JIS should be put together. After thinking over every kind of load conditions, base metal and welding zone should be evaluated separately and the effects of welding method and form should be paid great attention.Moreover,this article evaluates the fatigue and yield strength of the bolster of CRH5 bogie by using standard EN 12663.The results demonstrate that the strength of the bolster meets the design requirement of the specification.
