Application Of TBM Technology In Water Conveyance Tunnel Project

TBM is a kind of highly mechanical and automatic large-scale subterranean tunnel excavation equipment, it mainly uses mechanical pressure to chip and crush the rock, its technology is very complex, and it has highly effective, fast, high quality and safe point. The TBM is a kind of new tunneling technology it mainly use TBM as a core equipment, and use large-scale modernization loading transporting equipment as supporting facility, and use full-face TBM in the construction, tunneling mucking lining grouting etc are completed at one time, the construction schedule is fast, it is more safe, the requirement of the ventilator is lower, and the quantity of the lining and supporting is less.The TBM tunneling technology is quite mature through development of nearly half century. Today The TBM is the first construction method because of its advantage of the high boring speed. This article is based on the abundant data collection, with the tunnel construction under the Yellow River of central route of south-to-north water transfer project, mainly study on the application of the TBM in the water conveyance tunnel project, The main content includes:(1) The structure constitute of the TBM mechanic equipment is analyzed in detail, and the rock-breaking mechanism of TBM is studied. Major factors affecting driving efficiency of TBM is studied, including geological factors and mechanism factors.(2) Model selection of TBM is studied in detail, and partial key technology of actual TBM construction method is analyzed. According to the weakness that TBM doesn't adapt well to geological conditions, advanced forecast of geology methods and the initial support technology applied to open TBM construction are mainly studied.(3) Shield TBM construction technology is introduced. Slurry shield TBM construction technology is mainly studied, which offers theoretical base for tunnel construction under Yellow River application study. (4) To meet the Yellow River cross in midline engineering of South-to-North water diversion project, difficulties and key technology problems during the course of shield TBM construction is analyzed, and relevant Countermeasures is advanced.
