China is one of the countries in the world with frequent geological disasters and serious damages. The widely distributed geological disaster has many types and with high frequencies.Landslide is the main type of geological disasters.The safe of landslide is a serious threat to reservoir. This paper explores the ideas and methods about the stability of landslide and introduces the results of Zhouba-Baijiatuo.Through the analysis of the general characteristics,formation mechanism and influencing factors,the author gets one of the important factors. The combination the process of reservoir water storage and the water level fluctuation, through four typical operating conditions,the author makes analysis of transfer coefficient about the stability of the landslide,and gets the result that stability or the basic stability under normal circumstances and in the earthquake and storm conditions will be in a less stable or unstable State. By two years' practice, the observed values are within the permitted scope.This paper is an overall summary of my work on reservoir slide surveying and treatment. It will guide my future work banefully.
