With the rapid development of freeways, slopes have become one of the three geological disasters, which include earthquakes and volcanoes. The deficient protection to slopes would bring about some phenomena such as collapse, crash, scouring on face of slope and losing stabilization of the deposit on top of slope. From the traditional point of view, the engineering protection of slopes that have been put in practice just simply considered security and stability of the face of slope and top of slope, which haven't been able to meet the current demands. So engineers should renew the protecting methods, which would be changed from single engineering protection or single planting protection to integrated protection.The paper regards cut high slope as the object, and do research on the deformation failure mechanism, the failure form, the analytical methods of the stability of slope and integrated protecting measures of the cut-high slope. In this paper, we take a section of slope in Guangdong province as an example, succeed in the practice of integrated protection system to the slope. The main content studied includes the following several respect:(1) The investigation of analytical methods on the stability of cut high slope and the current situation of protection.(2) The research on the basic characteristic and the deformation failure of the cut high slope.(3) The research on analytical methods on the stability of slope.(4) The research on integrated protection measures to cutting high slope.(5) Take a certain project as an example, and establish the best protection technology plan according to local climate and geology condition.
