A safe, smooth, beautiful, harmonious, durable design was emphasized in the highway design, but the mountain highway construction would inevitably meet a lot of deep cutting slope stability and protection issues. This paper was depended on Sichuan expressway under construction in an area, analyzed the high slope stability in the region, proposed effective, environmentally friendly and economical slope protection measures, and particularly was important to reduce the waste of resources.This thesis depended on section 7th in standard contract,the geological lithology was mainly shale and mudstone,the horizontal rock layers,nearly a year's excavation, slope surface was weak weathered,without fracture around,relatively stable.In order to further optimize the design, this paper did the cutting high slope stability analysis and provided technical references for the selection of design scheme.Firstly,using the limit equilibrium method to state comparison of different calculation conditions of "slope beam and not increase the framework of protection status frame beam", the results showed that adding frame beams to slope did little to its effects; at the same time the study of anchoring role of frame beam also showed that most of the anchor frame beam had not settled into a rock, and only one crossing a slope anchor bolt worked, did not meet the expected protective effect, it was suggested to cancel beam, directly linked to grass protection mesh combination.Secondly,to further verify the validity of three-dimensional vegetation net protection, using lagrange algorithm (FLAC3D) to simulate on the slope, and making a large number of comparative calculations of three-dimensional network of protective vegetation form and without any protection of slope stability, the drawing three-dimensional vegetation hanging wire mesh could meet the slope protection requirements.Finally,a cost analysis was conducted, results showed that the abolition of frame beam would save about 28% of the project cost, which not only strongly ensured the implementation of the whole duration target but also met the requirements of slope landscaping, green environmental protection, significantly improved the highway landscape.
