The temperature of cooling water of marine diesel engine is an important reference. It is very significant to control the temperature of cooling water accurately.For improving the power performance of diesel engine,decreasing the exhausting and saving fuel.If the temperature of cooling water is very high,the high temperature will speedup the ageing speed of lubricate oil,and accelerate the wear and tear of parts; if the temperature is very low(below 30℃),the acid radical in combustion air and water come into new acid,and the new acid also accelerate the corruption of the parts.So the temperature of cooling water affects the performance of diesel engine.At present,most of marine diesel cooling systems are centre cooling system,but the traditional cooling water system can not adjust the temperature fast and accurately, and the response speed is very slow.The age and performance of diesel engine are badly effected.The aim of this paper is to research a new control method.In this paper,the theory of marine center cooling water system is introduced. According to the disadvantage of center cooling water system,it introduces the general control method.On the base of analyzing the advantage and disadvantage of Smith control,PID control and fuzzy control method,it designs the intelligent control method with power fuzzy control signal,the result of Matlab Simulink shows that the intelligent control method responses fast,has a higher control precision and is better than the traditional control method.
