When the cascade speed regulating system controls the fan, the pump class and other loads whose torque is proportional to the speed, the energy conservation effect is extremely considerable. There are some merits of the thyristor cascade speed regulating such as highly effective, the energy conservation and the simple installment structure, the easy maintenance, as well as smoothly speed regulating continuously. But the thyristor cascade speed regulating method has a lower system power factor.By introducing the principle of the cascade speed regulating system this paper analysis several reasons causing the lower of the cascade speed regulating system power factor. The method that the cascade speed regulating system of inner-feeding motor based on SVPWM control strategy is proposed. The system generally is designed and each link parameter is analyzed and computed. The computation analysis and the simulation results prove that the method improves the system power factor greatly.
