In allusion to the problems that the accurate math model of water supply system is difficult to get and the character of nonlinearity and time lag in the constant pressure water supply system, this paper designed a Fuzzy-PID controller which adjusted the three parameters of PID controller on line by fuzzy rules. It adopt Smith predictor compensate to solve the problem of time lag in the constant pressure water supply system and simulated by MATLAB. Its result demonstrated the dynamic response and steady precision of the system are both strengthened.The hardware of system adopt PLC to control transducer in order to realize constant pressure water supply. The system transformed the pressure of pipe net to electric signal through pressure converter fixed on the pipeline output of water supply system, and adjusted output frequency of transducer through the designed fuzzy controller to change rotate speed of water pump in order to realize constant pressure water supply. PLC could switch the pump logically when it received the over-limit signal of transducer. Compared to the traditional water supply mode, this system was proved to be effective for saving on energy and steady in performance, so its application has a wide foreground.
