Wind power is an important way that wind energy was utilized. With the decreasing of fossil fuel resources and increasing of environmental pollution, every country of the world concerns and exploits it highly, and wind power is improved in technology quickly. Variable speed constant frequency (VSCF) wind power technology have already been applied widely, capacity of wind generators and the scale of wind farm are becoming larger and larger. However the randomicity and intermittence of wind will produce disturbance on the stabilization of the power system. How to utilize wind energy resources on a large scale is becoming important content in the studies of wind energy generation. The simulation model of the wind generators and wind farms should be established correctly. Then we may simulate and analyze the power grid connected with wind power properly.Doubly-fed induction generators'are the research object of this paper. On the basis of analyzing the transient and steady state mathematical model of VSCF wind power, by using the UPI of PSASP, we established the steady state simulation model and electromechanical transient simulation model of the VSCF wind power system. At the same time, we built the accurate Vw-Pe characteristic curve of grid-connected VSCF wind generators in statistics way based on the analyzing field test data of the wind farm. Through comparing and analyzing the field test data of all the wind generators of wind farm, we choosed the optimum wind generators that represent whole running characteristic of wind farm and the decentralization of wind generators in a wind farm. On the basis of the above analyzing, we gained aggregately equivalent model of the wind farm.Steady state and transient simulation of wind power system connected to the realistic power grid model is calculated and analyzed in PSASP according to the whole equivalence model in this paper. Wind farm of BaiCheng district in JiLin province is introduced to calculate the maximum installed capacity of wind farm connected to grid by steady state analysis and transient analysis. The conclusion has definite application value in project.
