Wind power generation system is a complicated multivariable system with strong nonlinear, uncertainty and coupling. In order to capture maximum energy, variable universe adaptive fuzzy control strategy based on vector control is proposed. Firstly, the mathematical model of double fed induction generator two-phase rotating coordinate system is set up according to the coordinate transformation theory. Secondly, this paper analyses the characteristic relationships between output mechanical power and rotation speed. Then the control strategy of maximum wind energy capture is proposed. Thirdly, the variable universe fuzzy adaptive controller is designed, which can reduce the domain settings and the setting of fuzzy rules dependent on the expertise, improve control precision. Finally, the proposed method is simulated with MATLAB/simulink at the time of wind speed lower than the rate and results have confirmed feasibility and performance of the control strategy. The controller designed in this paper has good dynamic and static performances.
