In the communication vehicle, a large number of electronic equipments are installed in such a small space; it brings a series of problems in electromagnetic compatibility. Mastering the effectiveness of electromagnetic compatibility is required for EMC project management and decision-making; however, there is little research in the field of systematic EMC evaluation based on the test and simulation data at home. Therefore, a study on evaluating the electromagnetic compatibility for vehicular communication system has an important significance in theory and engineering application.A deep analysis of the electromagnetic compatibility characteristics for vehicular communication system has been made in this paper. At first, based on the analysis of the influencing factors about the EMC performance for vehicular communication system, the evaluation indicator system is established. Then, on the basis of demonstrating the applicability of various commonly-used evaluation methods, against their shortcomings and limitations, an improved method, which can be applied to evaluating our system, based on AHP and TOPSIS is presented; the method reference the weight solution principle of analytic hierarchy process(AHP), and combines the advantages of TOPSIS. Meanwhile, according to the different types and characteristics of the indicators, the different quantitative methods for the key indicators are proposed. Finally, the evaluation software for the EMC performance of vehicular communication system is developed using Visual Basic.Through the verification application in related projects, the indicator system and evaluation method in this paper can meet the requirements of the vehicular communication system EMC evaluation.
