With narrow room and multitudinal electronic equipment, problem of Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) in vehicular communication system is serious, and there is no research on systematic EMC test and evaluation at home. Therefore, research on EMC Automatic Test System (ATS) and evaluation for vehicular communication system has important significance and application value in practice. The test system developed by this paper is convenient for local test,achieves the portable test technology and resolves the saturation problem of spectrum analyzer caused by outfield test. So realized the near-field saturation-prevention test technology.On the basis of analyzing EMC test items and researching on the method of test for vehicular communication system, this paper develops a set of EMC ATS based on hybrid programming between VB and LabVIEW. The hardware proportion of the system uses virtual instrument configuration called GPIB bus, and for the software proportion, it is made up of three modules, including interface module with VB, test module with LabVIEW and database module.In terms of the evaluation of EMC performance for vehicular communication system, this paper puts forward aim of evaluation, preliminarily sets up index system of evaluation, selects Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) as systematic method of evaluation and finally selects the interconnection performance as the evaluate object to illuminate the select of method of evaluation and the realization of quantification in each index.The design of EMC ATS for vehicular communication system is reasonable. It can satisfy the demand of systematic EMC automatic test. The theory of systematic EMC evaluation has better instructive significance in practice to the evaluation of EMC performance for vehicular communication system.
