Electro-mechanical Brake,as a branch of x-by-wire, is completely different from the traditional automobile brake system, set a brand-new automobile brake idea. EMB has a concise structure and a superior performance. In addition, it is environment-friendly and energy-saving. Its concise structure and efficient performance raised the brake security of automobile, and laid a foundation for automobile realizing all-round x-by-wire. This thesis carries out the research on actuator of EMB and hardware in-the-loop Test bench, with the integration of the research and development of automobile EMB software in-the-loop simulation platform----fund project of Zhejiang Asia-pacific Electro-mechanic Limited Company.Based on the summary and analysis of the development and research achievements of EMB at home and abroad, this thesis puts forward a design plan and a computing method for EMB actuator, develops EMB actuator, and builds the EMB actuator mathematical model including brushless DC motor, motor driver and transmission mechanism. This thesis sets up corresponding simulation module and conducts off-line simulation research under the Matlab/Simulink. It develops the EMB hardware in-the-loop Test bench based on Matlab/xPC Target real-time platform, also carries on the test research for EMB actuator performance.1. The Development of EMB ActuatorDetailed research and analyze the structure and working theory of present overseas company's EMB actuator based, this thesis proposes an overall design plan for EMB actuator, presents every component's structure and characteristics of EMB actuator, puts forward three sets of EMB actuator design plan directed towards certain light vehicle, provides the design method of EMB actuator as well. In accordance with the proposed design method of this thesis, the best schema is chosen. Many components are made respectively, such as brushless DC torque motor, brushless DC motor driver, ball screw, planetary gear reducer and Brake clamp body. An EMB actuator is assembled and installed, which lays a material base for EMB hardware in-the-loop Test bed.2. The Simulation Model Research of EMB ActuatorBased on the confirmation of the general structure of EMB actuator and its control system model, and actual operation principle of brushless DC motor, this thesis calculates out the EMB actuator mathematical model including brushless DC motor, motor driver and transmission mechanism and other modules, at the same time, builds a universal motor model. Under the Matlab/Simulink, the relevant simulation module was established as off-line simulation platform.3. The Control of EMB Actuator and Simulation ResearchAccording to the principle of double closed-loop control system of DC motor, this thesis confirms a tri-loop control plan --- motor current, rotational speed, clamp force, proposes the characteristic requests for control system response as well. To counter the EMB actuator, this thesis designs the tri-loop control system for universal motor and brushless DC motor separately, makes a contrastive simulation study. Obtain from the simulation result: controllers of two kinds of motors both meet the response requirement of EMB actuator; but brushless DC motor is more accurate than universal motor, can reflect the transient variation of motor current precisely.4. EMB Hardware In-the-loop Test Bench and Test ResearchThis thesis proposes a schema on EMB hardware in-the-loop test bench on the basis of Matlab xPC Target real-time platform, and develops an EMB hardware in-the-loop test bench. On the test bench, the test research on performance of EMB actuator is carried out. By means of the test, it is proved that the performance of this EMB actuator can meet requirements for design object, and EMB hardware test bench is reliable and valid.The innovation of the thesis is that it proposes set of EMB actuator design plan directed towards certain light vehicle, provides the design method of EMB actuator as well. An EMB actuator is assembled and installed, which lays a material base for EMB hardware in-the-loop Test bed.
