Utilizing and exploring underground space is more and more important in city development. As an unexcavation technology, Pipe jacking is mainly utilizing the thrust of cylinder and the relaying ring among Pipeline to carry. Tool is pushed into soil from working well and carried to receive well and hoisted out in the well. The following prefabricating sections are buried underground among two wells with the method. It is convenient and swift, and have better economic benefits. But it can lead to the fact a certain influence to surrounding environment. Relative to circular pipe jacking, rectangular pipe jacking construction may disturb the soil more heavily and cause more surface deformation.This thesis based on the rectangular pipe jacking construction project along Pudian Road Station of No.6 line railway in Shanghai. By in-situ test, three dimension FEM numerical solution and theoretical analysis, a systematic research is made on the ground movements caused by rectangular pipe jacking construction. Some useful conclusions are obtained in the thesis. The main content of the thesis is as follows:1. The in-situ monitoring is made on the surface deformation induced by rectangular pipe jacking construction. The regularity of surface deformation caused by rectangular pipe jacking construction is probed.2. Calculate the surface deformation caused by rectangular pipe jacking construction with the experience method and stochastic medium theory method, contrast it to monitor results. It have further verified these two kinds of methods to calculate the surface deformation. The conclusion should be valuable as reference for the rectangular pipe jacking construction.3. MARC, 3D FEM software is adopted to analyze actual project, mechanics characteristic and surface deformation in rectangular pipe jacking construction are analyzed. Results of calculation and monitor have relatively verified. Study the surface deformation caused by rectangular pipe jacking construction in different construction craft, different construction parameter, different elastic module.4. Based on the results of calculation and analysis, the reasons of ground movements caused by rectangular pipe jacking construction are analyzed. And the effective control measures during rectangular pipe jacking construction to decrease influence on surroundings are put forward, which will realize the jacking construction of the protection environment type and offer reference to design and construction of other similarity projects...
